Once the systems were shutdown, our HVAC service company was notified and a service technician was dispatched. While the service technician was in route, staff investigated the possible cause of the failure and found a physical issue the HVAC system. The service technician was able to restart the system with half of the cooling capacity, so a few key servers were restarted at this time.
Repairs to the HVAC system were completed by approximately 1:00 PM, at which time we began the restart of the majority of the servers. If you have any questions regarding this outage, please contact Dayna Duncan, Assistant ITC Director (dduncan@mail.mecdc.org).
