Utilities Audit
Currently, MEC has 96 member districts participating in this Program.  The Program consists of single bill payment process that is paid on a projected budget over seven months.  This Program continues to save local districts significant dollars.

Electric Deregulation
The Metropolitan Educational Council guided several member schools through an extensive informational program assisting schools in selecting the most appropriate deregulation program.

The MEC worked on behalf of the members in providing legal advice, aggregating usage volumes, and making provider recommendation.

Insurance Programs
MEC's Plan is a consortium that is working successfully. The Plans were established to provide all members stability in premiums year after year. Several members are currently enrolled in a joint effort to reduce the spiraling costs of heath, life and dental insurance. The plan is marketed exclusively to the members of the Metropolitan Educational Council through Grady Enterprises, Inc. There are over 10,000 employees covered and the discounts are significant.
