MEC ITC Director
The Metropolitan Educational Council ITC is an information technology center formed under section 3301.075 of the Ohio Revised Code. The MEC ITC provides a comprehensive, cost-effective program of technology services to MEC member districts.
The MEC ITC is authorized by the Ohio Department of Education as one of 23 Designated Data Acquisition Sites to provide technology services to Ohio school districts.
Services provided by the MEC ITC to member districts include:
- Fiscal services (accounting, payroll/personnel, and fixed asset accounting)
- Student records management (including student scheduling, grade reporting, attendance tracking, and tracking of special education needs)
- State-mandated data reporting (including access to the appropriate department databases and software applications)
- Library automation, curricular resources, and educational technology services to support academic content standards and effective instruction; and
- Internet access and networking services (email and the support of data exchange among our user members and with other information technology centers and their users.)
The MEC ITC is a member of the Ohio Education Computer Network which provides services to all Ohio public schools.
The ITC is guided by a
Technology Committee that regularly reviews the status of current ITC services and investigates future services that may need to be implemented to keep our school district customers up-to-date with new and ever-changing technology.
